Sometimes you have those moments. Those moments when everyone hates you. Or at least that’s what it feels like to you. No one does anything differently towards you to make you think they hate you. You just find yourself so annoying and so unlikable that you can’t possibly see how anyone could like you. All of this is false, of course. No one’s opinion about you has changed. The people who liked you before still like you, and the people who hated you before still hate you. Nothing’s changed except your opinion of yourself.
It’s often in these moments when you get a phone call or text or some other sort of communication from a friend that makes you prove yourself wrong. Everyone doesn’t hate you. In fact, at least one person loves you.
And it’s in those moments when you see God’s love. He placed that friend in that moment because He knew it would make you feel better. It would make you love yourself again and remind you that He loves you most of all. There isn’t a second that goes by where God doesn’t love you so much more than is ever imaginable. And when you realize that, you feel like yourself again. You are His, and He is yours. That’s all that matters.
Sometimes moments happen, and that’s okay because He will get you through them.
